In photography, perspective refers to the location of the camera relative to the subject being photographed. Perspective may be manipulated in such a way to make certain objects appear disproportionately close, far, large, small, or otherwise different in a photograph. The perspective in the photograph above causes the fence to appear closer than it actually is to the monkey, and the perspective of the photograph below causes the pictured tanuki to appear larger than it actually is.
